Job summary

Homewatch CareGivers of South Orange is seeking a Live-In Certified Home Health Aide to join our team in providing compassionate in-home care. You will build meaningful relationships with clients, support daily living activities, and help ensure safety and well-being in the client’s home.

The role requires NJ HHA certification, a clean background check, and the ability to pass health screenings. This agency is award-winning and accredited, offering consistent work and valued teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey HHA Certification required.
• Criminal background check must be passed.
• PPD/QuantiFERON Gold or Chest X-ray health screening required.
• 1+ year HHA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with clients.
• Provide companionship and support.
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, toileting, dressing, meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders.
• Ensure safety and supervision of your client.
• Accompany to appointments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build meaningful relationships with your client
• Provide companionship and support
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, toileting, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and medication reminders
• Ensure safety and supervision of your client
• Accompany to appointments as needed

Candidate Requirements:

• MUST have an active New Jersey HHA Certification
• Two (2) valid forms of ID
• PPD (within 12 months), QuantiFERON Gold (within 12 months), or Chest X-ray
• MUST be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be reliable, compassionate, flexible, and a team player
• 1+ year of prior experience as a Home Health Aide preferred, but not required
