Job summary

Indiana Tech seeks a live-in Area Coordinator (AC) for the Residence Life Department at the Fort Wayne campus. The AC promotes a learning, inclusive residential community and supports student development through programming, leadership development, and administrative oversight.

Responsibilities include RA leadership, housing operations, budget support, and policy compliance, with collaboration across campus to meet retention goals. Evening/weekend hours required; master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of progressive leadership experience with college students.
• Demonstrated consciousness of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Relational, interactive, and conflict mediation skills.
• Administrative, teambuilding and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise RA staff and conduct regular meetings.
• Oversee housing operations, room assignments, and records.
• Coordinate budgets and program efforts aligned with learning outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with FERPA, hazing, and Title IX policies.
• Collaborate with campus partners to support student development and retention.
