Job summary

Bachoco USA in Fort Smith, AR is hiring a Live Haul Driver for the 3rd shift (12:00 am–12:00 pm). You will transport chickens from broiler farms to plants, maintain logs, inspect equipment, and comply with DOT requirements.

Requires a Class-A CDL with Tank Endorsement and at least one year of verifiable driving experience. Prior Live Haul experience is a plus; strong safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; 1 year verifiable driving experience.
• Tank Endorsement required; Class-A CDL preferred.
• No major driving violations; PSP report; ability to pass DOT tests.

Responsibilities

• Drives a truck to transport chickens from farms to plants.
• Picks up chickens at the farms and delivers to live haul.
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Inspects truck equipment (tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water).
• Binds and unbinds cages; adheres to DOT/state training and documentation.

Shift Hours: 12:00 am - 12:00 pm 3rd Shift.

Pay Rate: 28.00 Per hour.

Summary

Transports chickens from broiler farms to the plants by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drives a truck to transport chickens from the broiler farms to the plants.

Picks up chickens at the farms.

Delivers chickens to live haul.

Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.

Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.

Binds and unbinds cages.

Must comply with all D.O.T. and State driver training and documentation requirements.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and oneyearof verifiable driving experience, clean driving record and PSP Report.This position requires a Tank Endorsement. Previous Live Haul experience a plus.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate hours of service, complete log book pages and calculate and report hours worked.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a Class-A CDL Drivers License. Must have no major driving violations and be able to pass a D.O.T. physical and drug test.
