Job summary

Alerus Center is seeking a part-time Content Coordinator to help tell the venue's story through photo and video content. You’ll capture moments at concerts, sports, conferences, and community events, while expanding the venue’s presence locally.

The role focuses on creating engaging short-form content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Part-time benefits include 401(k) savings and matching.

Qualifications

• Interest in social media, marketing, content creation, or live events.
• Comfortable shooting content on smartphones and/or cameras.
• Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar editing tools.
• Creative mindset with understanding of trends and audience engagement.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced event environments.
• Availability for some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation & Social Media: capture photos/videos at events and create short-form videos for social platforms.
• Help build and organize a long-term content library for future campaigns.
• Identify storytelling opportunities around events, guests, staff, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Edit quick-turn social media content for same-day posting.
• Attend community events and assist with grassroots marketing and promotional activities.
