Job summary

The Town of Mooresville is seeking a part-time Production Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and execute technical production for events at the Joe V. Knox Auditorium.

You will oversee audio, lighting, and visual systems, work with performers and renters, and ensure high-quality productions for town-sponsored events. Responsibilities include leading technical setup, coordinating riders, and developing SOPs, while training part-time staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three to five years of live event production or related experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of soundboards, lighting consoles, AV systems, and stage production equipment preferred.
• Associate degree with five years of experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical lead for all events in the Joe V. Knox Auditorium.
• Operate and maintain audio, lighting, and visual systems.
• Consult on and oversee technical upgrades and lighting renovations.
• Develop, document, and implement SOPs for AV, sound, and lighting equipment.
• Meet with clients and renters to assess technical requirements; provide pre-event consultations.
• Coordinate and manage technical setup, operation, and strike for performances.
• Provide AV support in banquet and meeting rooms across the center.
• Train and oversee part-time or volunteer production assistants as needed.
