Job summary

DanceOne is seeking an L1 Lighting Technician for Orlando events. You’ll set up, program, and operate lighting systems including conventional, LED, and moving fixtures, collaborating with production teams to realize show concepts.

The role requires hands-on lighting experience, comfort with GrandMA, and the ability to work flexible evenings and weekends at a fast-paced, live-event environment. Seasonal full-time engagement with on-site duties in Orlando.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with GrandMA lighting consoles.
• Proven experience as a lighting technician / programmer or similar role.
• Hands-on knowledge of lighting consoles, fixtures, and stage environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate all assigned lighting equipment including conventional fixtures, LED fixtures, and moving lights.
• Ensure dimmer beach / power distribution is properly set up.
• Be able to program and run shows on Grand MA architecture.
• Collaborate with event producers, dance faculty, and production management to create show looks and scenes upon request.
• Maintain and repair lighting equipment in the field, or inform production management of defunct equipment promptly.
• Provide on-site or remote technical support to internal teams as needed.
• Ensure lighting elements are installed with neat cable runs and proper dressing of equipment.
