Job summary

George P. Johnson Co. is seeking a CAD Administrator/designer to support the Live Production team in a hybrid role, reporting on-site at Los Angeles at least 2 days per week.

You will leverage Vectorworks Spotlight to draft plans and elevations for live events, from conferences to mega festivals and auto shows, handling 2D/3D views, title blocks, records, and 3D modeling. Ideal candidates are highly proficient with Vectorworks, able to work at high speed under tight deadlines, and comfortable

Qualifications

5+ years of CAD drafting experience in live production or related fields.
Expert Vectorworks Spotlight skills with proficiency in 2D/3D drawings and elevations.
Ability to produce accurate plans, elevations and layouts under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

Create plans and elevations for live event projects from concept to finish.
Produce high-quality drawings, title blocks and records for production needs.
Collaborate with strategy, creative and other production teams to meet deadlines.
Maintain efficient workflow protocols and adapt to new processes.
