Job summary

Hearst Television's WMUR in Manchester, NH is seeking a Broadcast Systems Technician to maintain and support broadcast and IT systems that keep operations on air. You’ll work across networking, servers, broadcast equipment, and live productions while reporting to the Engineering Director.

The role involves a rotating schedule, hands-on troubleshooting, and collaboration with News, Production, and IT teams to deploy new technology and keep stations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience with managed network switches and IP-based systems.
• Experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems.
• Familiarity with broadcast equipment and production environments.
• In-person attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadcast and IT systems to ensure reliable daily operations
• Execute and improve preventative maintenance programs
• Provide technical support to News, Production, Creative Services, Sales, and Administration
• Support live broadcasts and remote productions, including setup and troubleshooting
• Install, configure, and maintain networking equipment, servers, and workstations
• Travel as needed to transmitter sites, remote locations, and live event venues
• Document systems, workflows, and technical procedures
• Collaborate closely with engineering and IT team members to support station operations and new technology deployments
