Job summary

Nexstar Media's KRON 4 in San Francisco seeks a Studio Technician to operate broadcast equipment and support live productions for the station and its KRON streaming services.

The role requires hands-on experience with live TV operations, automation, and coordination with news, engineering and production teams. Overtime, weekend/holiday shifts, and strong attention to detail are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in live television broadcast operations.
Proficiency with broadcast equipment and live production workflows.
MS Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

Operate broadcast equipment including Tricaster, Ross Overdrive, studio managing, teleprompting and audio.
Demonstrate proficiency in LIVE broadcast production, automation, and execution of LIVE breaking news.
Communicate and document effectively with crew, news producers and assignment team.
Coordinate with all technical operators during newscasts and other live/recorded productions.
Must possess working knowledge of ENPS, MOS commands, video servers, and general broadcast equipment.
Work as a liaison daily between news, engineering, and production departments.
Test equipment daily to ensure proper operation.
