Job summary

iHeartMedia is seeking a Board Operator to ensure broadcasts run smoothly and sound great across live, pre-recorded, and remote events. You will play a critical role in delivering clear audio and timely ads while maintaining logs and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude with NexGen and Adobe Audition, excellent attention to detail, and the flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude with broadcast equipment and automation systems.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions and accurate ads.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate when needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.
