Job summary

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to coordinate and execute production for concerts, events, and programs in Calderwood Concert Hall and other Museum spaces. The role handles stage setup, lighting adjustments, and coordination with different departments to ensure smooth delivery.

Availability for evenings and weekends is required. Onsite, Boston-based position with local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in production for performing arts events or related.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends for concerts/events/programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and timely communication with stakeholders.
• Highly organized with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, including Google Sheets.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and be active on your feet.

Responsibilities

• Set Calderwood Concert Hall stage for musicians, performers, and speakers prior to rehearsals.
• Prepare and set up other museum spaces for events in coordination with departments.
• Adjust basic lighting and test speaking microphones.
• Coordinate start of events with Front of House and program staff.
• Oversee stage crew contractors and make stage changes as needed.
• Post-program cleanup and reset of spaces.
