Job summary

Dann Marine Towing, LC is seeking a Cement Barge Engineer responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of all systems aboard an ocean-going cement barge. This role includes supporting cargo operations, ballast management, and working closely with the tugboat crew.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and electrical systems. Responsibilities include routine inspections, machinery operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. A USCG Merchant Mariner Credential is required.

Qualifications

• Strong background in diesel mechanics, electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Prior experience on tug and barges.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain barge machinery and systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Perform ballasting operations in compliance with regulations.
