All staff must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma and must be able to pass a background check. Applicants should have an understanding of child development, good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow directions.

We are seeking qualified Teachers for our infant room, a floater for our toddler room, a position for breaks, and a floater for our preschool classrooms. As an assistant teacher, you will support the Lead teachers in meeting classroom requirements. Assistant teachers are expected to maintain the proper teacher-to-child ratio and are responsible for the wellbeing of the children by following guidelines set by lead teachers, administrators, and licensing authorities. Teachers should have a genuine love for children, patience, and knowledge of child development, best practices, and educational methods. The goal is to support the healthy mental and emotional development of children to help them grow and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Follow the curriculum established by Lead teachers.
• Use various educational techniques (storytelling, play, media, etc.) to teach children.
• Observe and document each child's development and skills to help improve their social skills and self-esteem.
• Encourage positive interactions among children and model appropriate social behaviors for younger children.
• Supervise children actively to ensure their safety at all times.
• Assist in tracking children’s progress and report findings to Lead teachers.
• Communicate regularly with lead teachers, directors, and parents to understand each child's background.
• Collaborate with colleagues, children, and parents.
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment.
