Job summary

Professional Facility Services LLC seeks a Litter Supervisor to lead crews responsible for litter and debris collection across assigned properties, roadways, and lots. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred; experience in litter removal, grounds maintenance, or janitorial services a plus.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and manage a crew.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including winter weather.
  • Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation daily (early work start times).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to cross-train and work across all PFS service lines, including mandatory snow removal.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct daily activities of litter removal crews.
  • Train new employees on litter collection procedures, safety practices, and equipment use.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
  • Track crew productivity, attendance, and equipment condition; report issues to management.
  • Report hazardous conditions, illegal dumping, or safety concerns to management.
  • Communicate with Project Manager job site needs and schedule changes.
  • Ensure crews follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with landscaping and grounds-maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with janitorial and interior/exterior cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Perform snow and ice removal (mandatory for all employees) during winter weather events, including shoveling, plowing support, and application of ice-melt products.
  • Support Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and flagging operations as needed.
  • Perform other services as needed based on client and business demands.

Litter Supervisor – Job Description
Position Summary

The Litter & Debris Supervisor leads and coordinates crews responsible for litter and debris collection across assigned properties, roadways, parking lots, and commercial sites. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and to PFS quality standards, while training and supervising laborers.

You're being hired as a Litter Supervisor, but PFS is a full-service facility company, and all field employees are cross-trained to support the complete range of services we provide our clients. Depending on season, weather, and daily work orders, you may be assigned to assist with landscaping, janitorial services, litter and debris pickup, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)/flagging, and other services as needed. Snow and ice removal is a mandatory duty for every PFS employee, regardless of primary role, when winter weather events occur.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of safe work practices and proper waste disposal procedures.
  • Adaptability to lead crews across landscaping, janitorial, snow removal, litter/debris, and MOT duties as business needs require.
Schedule & Availability

Hours vary by season and daily work orders and may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends. A reliable, dependable form of transportation is required daily due to early work start times.
