Job description

Provide efficient secretarial and administrative support to Partners & Lawyers in the litigation practice and ensure that the litigation process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendar schedules, meetings/appointments/telephone and conference calls for litigation attorneys, and tracking legal deadlines
  • Managing files/documents and preparation of meeting materials
  • Prepare legal documents and court bundles for litigation process
  • Typing, editing/amending, and proofreading of legal documents
  • Updating records, replying to correspondences/mails and keying in daily time sheets
  • Filing legal documents with the appropriate court and agency, and maintaining an organised filing system
  • Maintain lawyers’ client contact list
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for litigation attorneys and assisting in preparation for court appearances and depositions

Requirements:

  • Minimum an ‘O’ level or ‘A’ level or Diploma in Business Admin or LCCI Private Secretarial Certificate
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of litigation secretarial experience in a law firm
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accurate and meticulous
  • Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and IT skills
