Job summary

Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP in Pittsburgh seeks an experienced paralegal to support our busy litigation practice. You will work closely with top attorneys on large matters and fast-paced cases, assisting with docket management, fact research, document collection, and deposition preparation.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' law firm experience; a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is preferred, with paralegal coursework a plus.

• Strong MS Office, Relativity/Everlaw and litigation support familiarity required.

Responsibilities

Vorys Pittsburgh Litigation practice busy practice groups seeks an experienced para professional to provide expertise and support. This person will work closely with excellent legal practitioners and contribute to large case teams; as well as small fast-paced matters.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with managing multiple litigation dockets.
• Conduct fact research.
• Assist with document collection, processing and production through internal litigation support department and outside vendors.
• Assist preperation of attorneys and witnesses for deposition.
• Assist with preparation for filings, hearings, trial and post-trial appeal.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Understanding of legal terminology and principles
• Competency with MS Office applications and litigation discovery database operations including Relativity, Everlaw and other similar programs
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication
• Efficient organziation methods
• Ability to prioritize work while remaining deadline focused
• Proven attention to detail

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience of law firm experience
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Paralegal coursework or certificate is a plus, but not required.

The expected pay scale for this position is $34.87- $40.00 per hour (overtime eligible per applicable laws) with an approximate annualized equivalent of $68,000.00–$78,000.00 based on 37.50 hrs./week. Actual earnings may vary. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors such as your qualifications, relevant experience, education, work location, and market conditions.
