Job description

We are seeking a senior Litigation Partner to join our firm and help grow our practice. Ideal candidates bring deep experience across all aspects of litigation, a portable book of business (minimum $500K), and an interest in working in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

YOU ARE:

  • A stellar attorney with at least 10 full years of experience litigating commercial disputes.
  • Licensed to practice in New York, California, Florida, Texas or elsewhere in the U.S. or UK, with a portable book of business of at least $500,000.
  • A natural leader, experienced in drafting pleadings, discovery documents, and motions.
  • Practical, prepared and resourceful with excellent people skills.
  • An efficient and effective plain-English communicator.
  • Conscientious, thorough and highly accountable.
  • Motivated to learn and improve. Receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Polished, poised, energetic with a strong work ethic.
  • Always responsive and often proactive, keeping your clients (and team) well-informed.

YOU HAVE:

  • Been involved in document production and understand how the process works.
  • Attended court conferences and depositions as a first or second chair.
  • A real passion for being a litigator.
  • A great sense of humor and litigation deadlines do not phase you.
  • Experience litigating copyright, trademark, or employment matters (a plus, not required).

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WOULD:

  • Report to our Litigation Chair.
  • Draft, review and revise pleadings, discovery, motions and deliver practical advice.
  • Supervise lawyers, paralegals, law clerks, and externs on your team.
  • Attend court conferences, take depositions and argue motions, as your skills grow.
  • Lead by example: with your work ethic, constructive feedback, and positive attitude.
  • Have significant client contact.
  • Be involved in client development and the growth of the firm.
  • Continue to develop your own book of business and help drive the continued growth of the firm.

WHY US:

  • As we continue to grow, leadership is important to us – we provide an environment that promotes management development.
  • We provide comprehensive administrative support to allow you to focus on the work that matters.
  • You will have the opportunity to lead the next generation of exceptional lawyers.
  • Diversity is valued and welcomed at Romano Law. We appreciate differing backgrounds, experiences, and thoughts.
  • We promote team engagement in our collaborative, communicative, and approachable environment.
  • We strive to create an environment that promotes happiness and success for each of our team members. We go to great lengths to make this happen.
  • Total Compensation – $250,000 – $750,000 or more (based on experience, book of business, and performance).
