Job summary

Romano Law PLLC, based in New York City, seeks a seasoned Corporate Partner to lead a talented team of attorneys and professionals. You will supervise associates, paralegals, and clerks, and architect strategic M&A transactions for a diverse client base. A portable book of business and cross‑jurisdiction licenses are required.

You will drive growth, expand the firm’s client roster, and mentor junior lawyers while maintaining client relations and delivering exceptional legal solutions.

Qualifications

• Attorney with 10+ years of corporate transactional experience.
• Licensed to practice in NY, CA, FL, TX or UK with a portable book of business.
• Leadership and people skills; strong communication in plain English.
• Ability to grow and manage a book of business (≥$500k).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Associates and report to the Managing Partner.
• Supervise lawyers, paralegals, law clerks, and externs on your team.
• Lead by example with diligence and drive for success.
• Continue to develop your own book of business (> $500k) and drive firm growth.

• An attorney with over 10 years of corporate transactional experience.
• Licensed to practice in New York, California, Florida, Texas or elsewhere in the U.S. or the UK, with a portable book of business.
• A natural leader, experienced in structuring and negotiating M&A transactions.
• Practical, prepared and resourceful with excellent people skills.
• An efficient and effective communicator, in plain-English.
• Conscientious, thorough and highly accountable.
• Motivated to learn and improve. Receptive to constructive feedback.
• Polished, poised, energetic with a strong work ethic.
• Always responsive and often proactive, keeping your clients (and team) well-informed.
• A portable book of business of at least $500,000.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WOULD:

• Lead the Associates and report to the Managing Partner.
