Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in civil litigation.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; paralegal certification highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in legal research, drafting documents, filing, and trial preparation.
• Proficiency with legal databases and software for research, document review, and case management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal information.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post-trial.
• Conduct extensive legal research to gather relevant information for cases.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents and respond to discovery requests.
• File pleadings and other court documents electronically and confirm their accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in trial preparation by compiling, organizing, and summarizing evidence and other legal materials for use in court.
• Coordinate and manage calendars, deadlines, and schedules to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Act as a liaison between the trial team and third parties such as clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
