Job summary

Kavaliro seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support our litigation practice, assisting attorneys from case inception through trial and appeal. You will conduct legal research, manage case files, draft pleadings, coordinate discovery, and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines, delivering high-quality support to the legal team and clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in the preparation, drafting, and filing of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, regulations, and court rules to support litigation strategies.
• Manage and organize case files, including maintaining electronic and physical documents, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence.
• Coordinate the discovery process, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Assist in document review and production, including organizing and indexing exhibits and evidence for trial.
• Prepare deposition summaries and assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits and drafting outlines.
• Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with court orders, procedural rules, and filing requirements.
• Coordinate trial preparation, including organizing trial binders, witness lists, exhibit lists, and demonstrative evidence.
• Assist attorneys during trials, hearings, and mediations, including managing exhibits and preparing courtroom presentations.
• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court personnel.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling depositions, court dates, and meetings.
