Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Litigation Assistant or Paralegal for a plaintiff-side employment practice in Sherman Oaks, CA. The role supports two attorneys across about 100 matters, handling filings, discovery, and trial prep from start to finish.

The position offers a 40-hour work week with hybrid scheduling (remote on Wednesdays and Fridays after three months) and annual reviews with raises. Salary range is $75,000 - $100,000 DOE, plus discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of civil litigation experience as a paralegal.
• Plaintiff-side experience in employment litigation preferred.
• Federal court filing experience.
• Ability to handle filings, calendaring, drafting and discovery from start to finish.
• Strong client communication and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work onsite in Sherman Oaks, California.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Experience with AI tools for formatting and drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support two attorneys on ~100 plaintiff-side cases from filing through trial.
• Prepare and submit filings in state and federal court, ~8–10 cases per week.
• Draft pleadings, complaints, and motions for attorney review.
• Respond to discovery and prepare discovery documents.
• Maintain accurate calendaring of deadlines and court dates.
• Follow up with clients to obtain documents and information.
• Assist with trial preparation.
• Keep detailed case notes and resolve issues independently.
