Job summary

Johnson Law Group in Nashville is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support our Personal Injury Auto Accidents practice. This role involves managing litigation matters from intake through settlement and preparing legal documents under attorney supervision.

The ideal candidate has an associate's or bachelor's degree, a minimum of three years' litigation paralegal experience (auto accident experience strongly preferred), and solid knowledge of Illinois civil procedure and electronic filing.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in personal injury.
• Strong knowledge of Illinois civil procedure and electronic filing systems.
• Excellent organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement documents.
• Organize and summarize medical records, police reports, and accident documents.
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal and factual research to support case development and litigation strategy.
• Assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation, including exhibits and witness files.
• Track litigation deadlines in accordance with Illinois civil procedure and local court rules.
• Maintain well-organized case files in the firm’s case management system.
• Provide compassionate, professional communication to clients throughout the litigation process.
