Job summary

Johnson Law Group in Nashville seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support our Personal Injury Auto Accidents practice. You will manage matters from intake to settlement, draft legal documents, and ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in litigation paralegal roles, strong writing skills, and familiarity with Illinois civil procedure. This position is in-person at our Nashville, TN office and requires excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience in personal injury.
• Experience with Illinois civil procedure and e-filing is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Experience supporting auto accident cases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement documents for attorney review.
• Organize, review, and summarize medical records, police reports, and accident-related documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal and factual research to support case development and litigation strategy.
• Assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation, including exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
• Track and manage litigation deadlines in accordance with Illinois civil procedure and local court rules.
• Maintain accurate, well-organized case files within the firm’s case management system.
• Provide compassionate, professional communication to clients throughout the litigation process.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement documents for attorney review

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in personal injury (auto accident experience strongly preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of Illinois civil procedure and electronic filing systems
• Excellent organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
• Have worked on personal injury or auto accident litigation cases

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
