Job summary

Dykema in Minneapolis is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join the Product Liability and Class Action practice. ABA-approved degree preferred; 2+ years in complex litigation ideal.

You will support trial preparation, manage logistics, and assist at trial. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, subpoenas, preparing exhibits, and assembling appendices for motions or appellate practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate.
• 2+ years of experience in litigation paralegal role.
• Experience with trial preparation and discovery responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist at trial and manage trial logistics.
• Draft pleadings, routine motions, discovery responses, subpoenas.
• Prepare exhibits and appendices for motions or appellate practice.
• Perform substantive document reviews and productions management.
• Maintain strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Utilize Relativity and PowerPoint for trial work.
• Cite-checking and bluebooking where needed.
• Support a team-driven environment and prioritize assignments.

Practice Group/Leader: Product Liability and Class Action/Brian Smith

Dykema, a leading national law firm, is looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Minneapolis office. ABA-approved degree preferred, 2+ years in complex litigation ideal. Additional skills desired:

• Experience with trial preparation, managing logistics, and assisting at trial;
• Experience drafting pleadings, routine motions, responses to discovery, subpoenas, preparing exhibits, assembling appendices for motions and/or appellate practice;
• Strong technology experience including Relativity, PowerPoint;
• Extensive knowledge of ESI protocol and e-discovery procedures;
• Experience managing document-intensive files, performing substantive reviews, preparing and tracking productions;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Lexis Advance, cite-checking and bluebook experience;
• Thrive in a team-driven environment;
• Ability to prioritize assignments and delegate when necessary;
• Preference for NALA, NFPA, or specialized certifications;
• Availability for overtime.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
• 2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
