Job summary

Shook, Hardy and Bacon, a prominent Kansas City law firm, seeks an experienced Paralegal to support a growing litigation practice. The role covers all phases of litigation, including large document production, discovery, witness and expert interviews, drafting pleadings, and subpoenas for records.

Travel is required as cases move through state and federal courts. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate with two+ years of litigation experience, or a longer track

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate and two plus years of litigation experience or no degree/certificate and six plus years of experience.
• Experience in all phases of trial and trial preparation including large-scale document production, discovery, interviewing of witnesses and experts, drafting pleadings and subpoenaing records preferred. Large-scale multi-party litigation is a plus. Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation from start to finish.
• Manage large document productions and discovery responses.
• Interview witnesses and experts for pleadings and trials.
• Draft pleadings and subpoenas for records.
• Assist with trial preparation and coordination.
