Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Paralegal for the Intellectual Property Practice group. The role reports to the Manager of Legal Practice Support and involves providing project assistance and case management to attorneys and trial teams.

This position is based in our Chicago office with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule.

Key responsibilities:
  • Document and database maintenance; analyzing data using computer-assisted review technologies
  • Assisting with discovery requests and document productions
  • Drafting, proofing, editing, and filing court documents and exhibits
  • Cite-checking and Bluebook formatting of briefs and memoranda
  • Creating Tables of Authorities and Contents for court filings
  • Supporting invalidity and infringement contentions and related productions
  • Preparing claim construction briefs and Markman hearings
  • Managing case deadlines and communicating case-related information
  • Assisting with deposition logistics and witness preparation
  • Supporting pretrial submissions and trial logistics
  • Attending trials, logging exhibits, and managing trial materials
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2-4 years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Experience with USPTO Patent Center, patent prosecution, and patent terminology
  • Knowledge of e-filing procedures in US District Courts, especially in Illinois, California, Texas
  • Experience with PTAB, ITC, or Federal Circuit cases is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills for trial preparation and case management
  • Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with litigation support systems like Case Notebook, Relativity, Sanction
  • Excellent communication, proofreading, and editing skills
