Qualifications

• Four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program
• 1–3 years of litigation paralegal experience
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Professional demeanor with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities efficiently

Responsibilities

• Review initial file materials for immediate needs and ensure tabs are complete
• Add rules sets, dockets, client guidelines, deadlines, extensions and tasks with attorney input
• Monitor service on clients and confirm answer due date
• Prepare Civil Summonses and serve/monitor service of process per attorney direction
• Interview witnesses and clients and summarize facts
• Prepare deposition subpoenas with attorney input
• Prepare discovery responses; organize/document production at least 5 days before due date
• Follow up on outstanding discovery responses
• Review incoming mail for immediate needs and paralegal tasks
• Request medical records, personnel files, FOIA docs, project files with attorney input
• Review document production for additional needs and possible summary
• Prepare medical chronologies and summarize production
• Assist in depositions, mediations and trial preparation
• Prepare settlement documents with attorney input and ensure filing
• Cooperate with coworkers and respond professionally to staff, clients, vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned
