Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Employment Law department. This in-office role requires five days per week with no hybrid or remote option, supporting attorneys in federal and state litigation and coordinating discovery, pleadings, and hearings.

As part of a large team of over 6,000 employees, you will interface with agencies such as the EEOC, manage document production, organize exhibits, and keep clients apprised of case status throughout the

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • At least 2+ years of working experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting.
  • Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
  • General Litigation Experience, preferably in federal court.
  • Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices.
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memoranda
  • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
  • Interface with Administrative Agencies, including EEOC
  • E-file court documents in federal and state court
  • Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses
  • Draft and serve summons
  • Coordinate depositions
  • Prepare deposition and hearing binders and exhibits
  • Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court
  • Interfacing with clients to keep them apprised of the status of their case and to obtain documents needed for discovery
  • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
  • Liaise between the attorneys and internal/external third parties, including co-counsel, counsel for defendants, and the courts

Summary

$28.85 - $43.27 USD
