Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Paralegal to support a collaborative California litigation practice handling elder abuse, medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home neglect, and catastrophic injury matters. The position is based in West Hollywood or Irvine with on-site, hybrid, or remote options for exceptional candidates.

• Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience supporting elder abuse, medical malpractice, wrongful death, nursing home neglect, or plaintiff personal injury litigation is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and court rules.
• Experience with discovery, calendaring, electronic filing, and trial preparation.
• Ability to review and summarize large volumes of medical and litigation records.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Support attorneys through all phases of litigation from intake through trial and resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other case-related documents.
• Review, organize, and summarize medical records, facility records, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses.
• Coordinate depositions, expert witnesses, mediations, and court appearances.
• Prepare exhibit binders, trial notebooks, mediation materials, and settlement documents.
• Manage litigation calendars and track discovery, court, and trial deadlines.
• Communicate with clients, healthcare providers, experts, vendors, and opposing counsel.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibit management.
• Support settlement administration, lien resolution, and file closing activities.
• Work closely with attorneys and litigation staff to help develop and execute case strategies.

A growing California litigation practice is seeking an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Paralegal to join a collaborative team handling complex elder abuse, neglect, wrongful death, medical negligence, and catastrophic injury matters. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact cases while supporting attorneys through every stage of litigation.
