Job description

Location: Washington, DC, one to two blocks from 3 different Metro stops

Litigation: 30% White Collar and 70% Gaming. The firm is the leader in this area and is at the forefront.

You must have experience drafting pleadings without a template, such as in PI. They need significant litigation from a medium to large-sized firm. No government people unless they have also worked for a law firm in litigation.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; FLEX HOURS are ok; +/- 30 MINUTES. A 35-hour work week with paid overtime. 90 days in office during training and then 1-2 days remote and 3-4 in-office.

Compensation: $90,000–$120,000 annually with paid overtime

This East Coast boutique litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy team handling complex white-collar and regulatory matters, as well as high-profile litigation involving emerging industries such as gaming, technology, and fintech.

About the Role

The Litigation Paralegal will be deeply involved in all stages of litigation and must be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. The ideal candidate brings seasoned experience in case management, trial support, and sophisticated litigation procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery responses, correspondence, and pre‑trial material.
  • Oversee document organization, e‑discovery workflows, and case file maintenance.
  • Assist attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials, including handling exhibits and logistics.
  • Conduct legal and factual research using standard research tools.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel under attorney supervision.
  • Mentor and oversee a junior paralegal, delegating and reviewing tasks as necessary.
  • Have a deep understanding of litigation procedures and court rules (federal and state).
  • Possess strong writing, research, and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Qualification
  • They will take an AA degree in paralegal studies or criminal justice rather than a BA, but if they have spot‑on experience, they will take it without a degree.
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally in complex or specialized litigation.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting trial preparation, arbitration, and high‑volume case activity.
  • Strong command of federal and state court rules, e‑filing procedures, and litigation timelines.
  • Proficiency with Westlaw, PACER, e‑discovery tools, and document management systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow‑through.
