What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage California Wage and Hour matters, including intake, investigations, and resolution
- Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to gather necessary documents for litigation
- Organize and maintain internal litigation files, discovery requests, and update case status in Legal Tracker
- Support attorneys in responding to government agency inquiries and EEOC charges of discrimination
- Monitor changes in California labor law and advise the legal team on implications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in employment law or labor litigation
- Strong knowledge of California wage and hour laws and related federal statutes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
