Job summary

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 states, has an immediate opening for a Litigation Paralegal in its St. Louis office.

The position is full time with flexible options, including hybrid opportunities. Responsibilities include managing active litigation files, organizing case documents, handling pleadings, discovery, and trial materials, and coordinating with witnesses, experts, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assisting attorneys with the management of active litigation files.
• Organizing and maintaining electronic and physical case files.
• Preparing and organizing pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Preparing and responding to written discovery.
• Organizing and managing large volumes of documents and electronically stored information.
• Reviewing and summarizing medical records, employment records, business records, and other case materials.
• Preparing document chronologies, issue summaries, witness lists, and case timelines.
• Assisting attorneys with factual and legal research.
• Coordinating discovery and tracking discovery deadlines.
• Assisting with preparation for depositions, including organizing exhibits and deposition materials.
• Coordinating with witnesses, experts, clients, medical providers, and other third parties.
• Assisting with subpoenas and records requests.
• Organizing deposition transcripts and exhibits.
• Assisting with expert witness retention and preparation.
• Preparing mediation materials and settlement documentation.
• Assisting with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, trial binders, demonstratives, witness materials, and other trial exhibits.
• Attending depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials when appropriate.
• Maintaining case calendars and litigation deadlines.
• Communicating with clients, insurance carriers, claims professionals, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties.
• Assisting attorneys with other case-management and litigation-support needs.
