Job summary

D3 Legal Search, LLC is seeking a Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal for a prominent CA-based law practice in downtown Sacramento (95814). This full-time, non-exempt role supports a Labor & Employment practice group with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 remote after 90 days).

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of paralegal experience in wage-and-hour matters, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with e-discovery tools.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program is required.
• CA-based equivalency may be considered under CA law.
• Minimum 3+ years of paralegal experience in labor & employment litigation.
• Strong Excel and e-discovery proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze timecard, payroll, and wage records for PAGA and class actions; prepare damages in Excel.
• Manage all phases of discovery: draft/Respond to discovery requests; organize and summarize responses.
• Prepare subpoenas and track service/compliance.
• Manage case databases in e-discovery platforms; import/export, searches, analytics, and productions.
• Order transcripts; coordinate with opposing counsel and vendors.
• Support deposition prep by organizing documents and exhibits.
• Conduct factual research using Westlaw and online sources.
• Prepare for and attend trials/arbitrations; organize exhibits and assist in the courtroom.

Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal

Employment Status:

Full-time/direct-hire employment. Non-exempt role (OT in accordance w/ CA laws).

A prominent and highly respected CA-based full-service law practice is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal to join the firm's Labor & Employment practice group in downtown Sacramento (95814).

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong technical skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment while demonstrating a first-class commitment to client service.

A hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote is available after 90 days.

• Analyze timecard, payroll, and wage records for PAGA and class actions, and prepare damages calculations in Excel
• Manage all phases of discovery: draft and respond to discovery requests, and organize, review, analyze, and summarize discovery responses
• Prepare third-party subpoenas and track service, compliance, and follow-up
• Manage case databases in e-discovery platforms, including importing and exporting documents, running searches, analytics, and email threading, coding documents, and preparing productions
• Order transcripts and records from third parties, and coordinate requests with opposing counsel and vendors
• Support deposition preparation by gathering documents relevant to the deponent and organizing exhibits
• Conduct factual research using Westlaw and online sources
• Prepare for and attend trials and arbitrations: organize exhibits and supporting materials, coordinate setup and logistics, operate trial presentation tools, and assist attorneys in the courtroom
• 3+ years of paralegal experience supporting labor and employment litigation attorneys, including wage-and-hour analysis
• Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program required; alternatively, qualifications meeting California Business and Professions Code §§ 6450–6456 may be considered
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with e-discovery platforms such as Relativity, iCONECT, or DISCO
• Proficiency in litigation software such as CaseMap, TextMap, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Sanction or Trial Director is a plus
• Trial experience including exhibit and witness preparation, subpoena drafting, and courtroom support is a plus
