Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 3+ years of recent defense litigation experience to support our legal team in Orlando or Jacksonville, Florida.

The ideal candidate will be independent, detail‑oriented, and capable of summarizing records, preparing chronologies, and recording time and billing in accordance with client guidelines. Experience in general liability defense is required, construction defect knowledge is highly desirable, and strong written and verbal communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of defense litigation paralegal experience.
• General liability defense experience required; construction defect experience preferred.
• Familiarity with construction-related records and HOA documents.
• Ability to prepare detailed summaries and chronologies.
• Experience recording time and billing according to client guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and summarize records from homeowners' associations, general contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties.
• Review construction project files, supporting documentation, and records related to construction defect and general liability litigation.
• Prepare detailed summaries, case chronologies, and document analyses to support litigation strategy.
• Assist attorneys with organizing and evaluating case materials and supporting documentation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
• Accurately record billable time and comply with client-specific billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal team members to support case preparation and litigation needs.
