Job summary

TrueSeek, a diverse multi-practice commercial law firm based in New York, NY and Morristown, NJ, is expanding its Litigation team and seeking an experienced paralegal to support sophisticated business litigation matters across state and federal courts.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of litigation paralegal experience, a paralegal certificate or degree, and proficiency with NYSCEF PACER NJ eCourts as well as iManage and Adobe.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; minimum of 4 years of litigation paralegal experience required with experience supporting business litigation matters preferred
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and litigation support software with strong attention to detail sound judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple attorneys and legal teams

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and electronic filing of pleadings motions correspondence subpoenas and discovery materials in state and federal courts including NYSCEF PACER and NJ eCourts while maintaining attorney calendars court deadlines hearings depositions and mediations with accuracy and efficiency
• Prepare organize and scan legal documents exhibits binders and case files using iManage Adobe and related software while supporting attorneys and paralegals with case management docketing discovery evidence collection and trial and hearing preparation
• Coordinate Zoom mediations service lists public records requests and document production projects while maintaining accurate electronic and physical files throughout all phases of litigation
• Communicate professionally with attorneys court personnel clients vendors and internal departments while assisting with file closing procedures and related accounting requests and performing additional duties and special projects as assigned
