Core Talent Services is conducting a confidential search for a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to join a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in Birmingham, Alabama. The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong discovery and case-management skills, and a proactive, meticulous approach.

You will support attorneys through all phases of complex litigation, collaborate with clients and experts, and help ensure smooth court filings and trial preparation in federal and state courts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with ABA-approved paralegal certification or Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience
• Proficiency with eDiscovery platforms and litigation support databases
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work extended hours when case demands require
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of discovery including collection, organization, review, logging, production, and compliance

• Coordinate case schedules, hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and expert witness communications
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files and databases

POSITION SUMMARY

The Litigation Paralegal will provide critical support to attorneys through all phases of litigation across a wide range of matters. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive — someone who can independently manage multiple complex cases while working collaboratively with attorneys, clients, experts, and court personnel. This role demands someone who leads from their seat and treats their caseload like a business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and support all phases of discovery, including document collection, organization, review, logging, production, and compliance
• Prepare, draft, file, and serve court documents — including routine filings, notices, motions, and subpoenas — in federal and state courts
• Coordinate and manage case schedules, hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and expert witness communications
• Maintain organized electronic and physical case files, litigation databases, witness lists, exhibits, and trial presentation materials
• Conduct legal and factual research, verify citations, and assist with case analysis
• Collect, organize, summarize, and manage case records, evidence, deposition materials, exhibits, and related databases
• Support pretrial, trial, and post-trial preparation, filings, and courtroom logistics
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, experts, court personnel, and staff while managing multiple matters simultaneously with strong attention to detail

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree with ABA-approved paralegal certification, or an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience with a thorough understanding of litigation procedures through all stages of a case
• Proficiency with eDiscovery platforms, litigation support databases, legal research tools, and legal billing practices
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Flexibility to work extended hours when case demands require
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism and discretion
