Job summary

Godshall & Godshall Personnel Consultants, Inc. is seeking a skilled legal professional to support attorneys in a busy commercial litigation practice in Greenville, SC.

The role involves handling case files, drafting pleadings, and coordinating filings through state and federal courts. Qualified candidates will have 5 years of complex litigation experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple court calendars while supporting discovery, deposition prep, and research

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys throughout all stages of commercial litigation, from case inception through trial and appeal.
• Maintain and organize case files, pleadings, correspondence, and litigation documents.
• Monitor court deadlines and manage litigation calendars.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents for attorney review.
• Coordinate filing of documents in state and federal courts, including electronic filings.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Assist with deposition preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing deposition summaries.
• Conduct factual and legal research using online legal research tools.
• Analyze contracts, business records, and financial documents.
• Draft case summaries, timelines, and litigation reports.
• Support attorneys in developing case strategies and preparing for client meetings.
