Litigation Legal Secretary – Canonsburg, PA

Bowles Rice LLP, a leading regional law firm with offices throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, is growing. Our firm is looking for an experienced, motivated Legal Secretary to join the Litigation Team in our Canonsburg, Pennsylvania office. The ideal candidate’s qualifications will include proficiency in various software applications, experience opening and closing matters, filing and e-filing documents with courts, and drafting legal documents and correspondence. The Legal Secretary will assist multiple attorneys with preparations for depositions, mediations, and trials and will also provide other administrative duties including copying, scanning, handling incoming and outgoing mail, organizing and maintaining case files and related indexes, answering phones, scheduling meetings, and calendaring deadlines.

Candidates should have excellent computer skills; strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills; attention to detail; and the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities with ease. The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and in a team setting, handling a large workload for a busy defense litigation practice. A minimum of three years of relevant experience supporting a litigation practice is preferred.

Must pass all required background checks, including criminal.
