The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in Columbus, OH is seeking a legal assistant for our Legal Litigation office (Worthington). You will support attorneys by typing legal documents, maintaining files and calendars, and answering calls.

The role offers an hourly pay range and potential bonuses/stock incentives based on performance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years civil litigation experience, familiarity with local courts, excellent typing and organizational skills, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil litigation experience and insurance defense preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent typing and word processing skills.
• Experience with Microsoft products.
• Familiarity with local courts.
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Work well with a team and independently.
• Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to information learned in litigation processes.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe dictation
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence and memoranda
• Request medical authorizations and medical records from providers
• Prioritize assignments
• Process mail; review and route incoming mail; prepare and process outgoing mail
• Maintain attorney calendar
• Type, revise, and proofread legal documents
• Request and follow-up on legal records and court filings
• Prepare reports, check requests and assist with client billing
• Perform special administrative projects
• Answer phones
• Interact with others professionally under pressure
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with Claims department and court personnel
