Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a legal assistant in Michigan to support our law offices. You will prepare legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings, and manage attorney calendars using an electronic case management system.

The ideal candidate will have prior litigation experience and understand legal terminology to assist attorneys with discovery and client communications. This is a hybrid role with occasional travel to offices for meetings and training, and candidates

Qualifications

• Minimum two years legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team.
• Experience handling legal terminology and documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents and correspondence, including motions and pleadings.
• Manage attorney calendars using an electronic case management system.
• Coordinate examinations for defense experts and communicate with clients.
• Maintain files and handle discovery, including serving client discovery.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys and office staff.
