Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a prominent Tampa law firm in recruiting a skilled Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy practice focused on construction defect and insurance recovery matters. You will prepare pleadings, manage filings, calendars, and discovery, and coordinate with clients, counsel, courts, and vendors through all phases of litigation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, strong Florida procedure knowledge, and excellent organization and communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Florida court procedures and e-filing.
• Experience handling complex litigation from inception through trial preferred.
• Construction litigation, insurance recovery, property damage, or commercial litigation experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate and manage state and federal court filings, including e-filing.
• Maintain attorney calendars and schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files.
• Assist with discovery, document production, and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely filings and responses.
