Blitt and Gaines, P.C. seeks an Entry Level Associate Attorney to gain courtroom experience by regularly appearing for BG in court and handling a range of litigation tasks. This role involves reviewing new claims, managing a contested queue, and learning firm procedures without billable hour requirements.

The ideal candidate possesses a Juris Doctorate and Illinois Bar admission. Familiarity with Collection Master or similar tools, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and admittance to Illinois Bar (additional licenses in BG states are valuable).
• Strong communication and organization skills are expected to manage litigation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Appear in court a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Review new claims for compliance and sign pleadings for filing.
• Draft motions and responses to contested matters as needed.
• Argue motions and conduct trials/arbitrations.
• Manage telephonic and written contact with opposing counsel.
• Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims.
