Job summary

Holland & Hart LLP is seeking a Litigation Docketing Specialist in Utah to support multi-jurisdictional docketing firm-wide. You will enter deadlines, review filings, and verify applicability of deadlines for Utah state and federal courts.

Responsibilities include research, coordinating with case teams, and handling inquiries while maintaining confidential information. The role blends hybrid onboarding with a remote-heavy schedule and offers discretionary bonus potential.

Qualifications

  • Two (2) + years of litigation docketing, calendaring and civil procedure experience.
  • Knowledge of various Court websites, litigation procedures, docket searching and document retrieval databases.
  • Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to read a legal document and conclude if a future deadline is evident.
  • Strong knowledge to identify court rules and procedures in Utah state and federal courts.
  • Proven ability to learn and retain new information quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the firm.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential or sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to details with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, data entry, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

  • May support multiple projects assigned by the Docketing Manager or senior team members.
  • Maintains litigation docketing team protocols.
  • Performs additional duties and tasks assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm’s overall objectives.

Job description

The Litigation Docketing Specialist will report to the Docketing Manager and is a client focused, detail-oriented position that provides national, multi-jurisdictional litigation docketing support firm-wide. To be successful in this role, a candidate needs a strong knowledge of court rules and procedures in Utah state and federal courts, to independently identify deadlines based on jurisdiction rules.

  • Make entries of litigation deadlines into the docketing database following docketing procedures and methods of entry.

Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):

Physical Requirements:

Schedule:

This positions will start as a hybrid role throughout the onboarding period, then transition to a primarily remote schedule. Additional days in-office may be required depending on business need and the demands of specific tasks. The hybrid work structure may change at any time, including the number of in-office day requirement.

Compensation:

Holland & Hart offers of employment take into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance. The Salt Lake City salary range is $28.24 to $47.07 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
