Job description

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Litigation Docket Clerk to support our litigation practice firmwide. This role is vital to our team and can be based in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, or Princeton, with a hybrid work schedule. Flexibility to work overtime is required.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining the firm's docket system for litigation lawyers across multiple courts and jurisdictions.
  2. Identifying pertinent deadlines and preparing a master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff.
  3. Obtaining filing information from court clerks and online dockets.

Experience and qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience, preferably in a large law firm.
  • Understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures, familiarity with court filings and rules at federal, state, and county levels is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ProLaw or similar docketing software is a plus.
