Jobot is seeking an experienced Litigation Defense Associate Attorney to join our Orange County team. The role focuses on defending high-exposure personal injury and related civil actions within a dynamic, growing firm.

Qualified candidates hold a JD from an ABA-accredited school, California bar admission, and 3–7 years of litigation experience. Strong writing and research skills, detail orientation, and ability to collaborate and travel as needed are essential.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active California state bar membership in good standing.
• U.S. citizenship.
• 3–7 years of experience in litigation or relevant practice areas.
• Premises liability, products liability, transportation, personal injury, and/or habitability.
• Proficiency in legal research.
• Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter as well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of civil procedure rules and court filing requirements.
• Proven track record of favorable outcomes for clients.
• Willingness to travel when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of case handling, including discovery, motions, and briefs.
• Defend high exposure personal injury, habitability, products liability, transportation, and premises liability claims.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Review and analyze documents for relevancy and privilege.
• Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend court appearances, settlement conferences, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Prepare and organize exhibits for depositions, hearings and trials.
