Job summary

Gpac has partnered with a Madison law firm to hire a Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience. This role offers a collaborative environment and a long-term path to partnership in Madison, Wisconsin.

You will manage matters from initial strategy through resolution, represent clients in trust, estate, probate, and other civil matters, and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery. Competitive base salary is $150,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the Wisconsin state bar.
• 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong background in civil litigation; trust and estates experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to provide excellent client service.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution.
• Represent clients in trust, estate, probate, and other civil litigation matters.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Develop effective litigation strategies based on the unique needs of each case.
• Advise clients on complex legal issues and keep them informed throughout the process.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to provide exceptional legal representation.
