Job summary

The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office seeks an enthusiastic attorney to join the Civil Division's Litigation Section, handling tort and employment matters for County clients.

The successful candidate will litigate in labor arbitrations and administrative forums, demonstrate strong research and writing skills, and commit to race, equity and social justice in public service. A Washington State Bar membership is required.

Qualifications

  • 4) Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • 5) Ability to effectively represent the County in labor arbitrations and in other administrative forums.
  • 6) Demonstrates initiative and ability to work with a team on complex matters.
  • 7) Strong commitment to Race, Equity and Social Justice and ongoing development of cultural humility/competence.
  • 8) 3–5 years of litigation and/or labor and employment law experience desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Litigate matters on behalf of County clients in labor arbitrations and in administrative forums including the King County Personnel Board, OAH, and PERC.
