Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a Wisconsin-licensed attorney to manage personal injury and civil litigation cases from filing through settlement, mediation, or trial. This role offers hybrid or on-site work in Madison or Eau Claire, WI, with opportunities for courtroom and trial experience.

You will develop case strategies, draft pleadings and discovery, take depositions, negotiate with opposing counsel and insurers, and collaborate with paralegals and support staff to deliver exceptional client

Qualifications

Active Wisconsin State Bar membership in good standing.
1+ years of litigation experience; 2+ years preferred.
Experience with civil litigation procedures, legal drafting, and discovery.
Strong communication, negotiation, legal research, and organizational skills.
Personal injury, plaintiff-side litigation, insurance defense, or trial experience is a plus.
Ability to manage multiple cases while providing attentive client service.

Responsibilities

Manage personal injury and civil litigation cases from filing through settlement, mediation, or trial.
Develop effective case strategies by evaluating liability, damages, and potential recovery.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests while preparing cases for litigation.
Take and defend depositions, attend hearings, and negotiate with opposing counsel and insurance carriers.
Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and evidence for trial, with opportunities to sharpen your courtroom skills.
Partner with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
