Job summary

Jobot in Riverside, CA is seeking a senior civil defense attorney to represent clients in civil defense litigation, including businesses, public entities and individuals. You will lead defense efforts, supervise research, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and negotiate settlements while maintaining clear client communication.

The ideal candidate has a Juris Doctorate, 8+ years of experience, active State Bar membership, and strong advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience for senior level positions.
• Active member of the State Bar in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of civil defense litigation, personal injury, and/or insurance defense procedures and practices.
• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and cases while meeting strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, but also function effectively as part of a team.
• Strong advocacy skills in the courtroom.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and advice on legal matters.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
