Job summary

Career Consulting Partners partners with a growing plaintiff‑side law firm in Las Vegas focused on labor and employment, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims. We seek an Associate Attorney for the Las Vegas office, with training and mentorship available.

Requirements: Nevada license, J.D. from an accredited law school, and 1–5 years in Labor & Employment or Civil Litigation.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice in Nevada
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 1–5 years of experience in Labor & Employment Law or Civil Litigation
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment
• Desire to grow within plaintiff-side employment law

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, including complaints, motions, and other employment-related filings
• Manage all aspects of written discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including oppositions to motions for summary judgment and motions to compel
• Appear in state and/or federal court for hearings and case management conferences
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop a case strategy and litigation approach
• Analyze and evaluate damages, including unpaid wages and emotional distress
• Maintain regular communication with clients and manage expectations throughout litigation
• Work closely with paralegals and support staff to ensure deadlines and procedural requirements
